The Problem

In 2012, I had an opportunity to work on an exciting project with Raytheon via Weymouth Design – an interactive agency based in Boston.

The Corporate Responsibility Report (CCR) is an annually-published report of Raytheon’s corporate responsibility practices; it is similar to the Annual Report but more focused on its social and environmental impact.

It’s been a common practice that the AR or CCR was prepared in PDF and shared with Investors. However, the downside with PDF files is that they are not much visible to the Search Engine and SEO practice at the time. In addition, scrolling thru hundred pages of the CCR in PDF sometime is quite a challenge to many Investors.

The Concept

We propose that Raytheon build its Annual Report in the form of a responsive website available to Investors, whether at their fingertip or their working desk. The site is also easy to update via an integrated CMS.

The site also features interactive multimedia, including micro-interaction, video, and audio.

Printing-friendly is also an important feature that is considered.

Team and Role

I work as the only designer on this project, in close collaboration with the Product Manager, Copywriter, and Engineers.
